Temperatures Could Dip Below Freezing Mark In White Plains WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Westchester could see it first sub-freezing temperatures since April overnight into Monday. According to the National Weather Service, a freeze watch is in effect from late Sunday night through Monday morning for Westchester, as well as other areas in southeast New York, southern Connecticut and northeast New Jersey. The time frame for the freeze watch is from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday. Conn. Man Charged With Violating Order Of Protection In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown police arrested a man from New London, Conn. for second-degree alleged criminal contempt. According to the Yorktown Police Department, Jeremiah B. Herring, 37, reportedly sent a text message Oct. 15 to a female Yorktown resident in violation of an order of protection. Herring was arrested in Elmsford later that morning, police said. Herring was remanded to the custody of the Westchester County Department of Corrections after he could not post bail. He is scheduled to answer the charge Thursday in Yorktown Court.
