Friends Of Music Welcomes Montrose Trio To Sleepy Hollow SLEEPY HOLLOW, N.Y. -- The Friends of Music Concert Series will present the Montrose Trio at Sleepy Hollow High School's Kusel Auditorium on Oct. 24.  Canadian pianist Jon Kimura Parker and former Tokyo String Quartet violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith comprise the trio.  The program will include pieces by Beethoven, James Lee, III and Brahms. Plaque Dedicated At Leon Levy Preserve LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- The Westchester Land Trust participated in a celebration at the Leon Levy Preserve on Sept. 19.  The Town of Lewisboro unveiled a plaque at the celebration, which honored the donors and volunteers that worked to protect the 383-acre preserve.  Attendees were invited to tour the native plant garden and explore new trails with a hike.

Royle School Families Enjoy Back-To-School Picnic In Darien DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien families celebrated the opening of the 2015-16 academic year with a picnic at Royle Elementary School on Sept. 20.  Attendees enjoyed food and games, including footraces, tug-of-war and water balloon tosses, at the community and Parent-Teacher Organization event.  The picnic was originally scheduled for earlier in the month but was postponed due to the threat of inclement weather.

The family and pet-friendly event will feature carnival games, inflatables, face painting, balloon art, temporary tattoos, pumpkin decorating, pet adoption, dance performances by Creeskill Performing Arts, Holy Angels Dance Team and Sukha Arts Center and music by Beau Monde Guitars.  Admission is free.
