New Children's Librarian Joins Larchmont Public Library
LARCHMONT, N.Y. -- Linnea Moosmann joined the Larchmont Public Library as the children's librarian effective Aug. 17. “I was a library kid," said Moosmann in a press release. Kent Library Will Host Superhero Day
PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- It's a bird. It's a plane. No, it's two superhero-themed programs Sept. 5 at the Kent Public Library. At the all-ages morning event, cartoonist Paul Merklein will use cartoons, comedy and audience participation to show how everyone can be a superhero from 11 a.m. to noon. SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Ruth Keeler Library in North Salem will exhibit oil paintings by Somers' artist Dorothy Lorenze in "A Bygone Era ... in Oils" from Sept. 8-30.
