Celebrate Easton With A Revolutionary War Re-enactment FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- The Historical Society of Easton and Easton's Parks and Recreation Department are co-sponsoring a Revolutionary War re-enactment on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Samuel Staples Elementary School.  The re-enactment will recreate the burning of the Morehouse Farm. On July 18, 1782, Lt. Junior Lake Carmel Firefighters Train At Fasny Youth Day PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. -- Junior firefighters from the Lake Carmel Fire Department recently participated in the Firemen's Association of the State of New York's 143rd Convention Youth Day at the Rensselaer Fire Training Center in Wyantskill.  Skills such as confidence, pumps, search-and-rescue, hose relay and hose line advancement were trained at FASNY's annual youth day Aug. 21. Seasoned instructors, volunteer first responders and FASNY leaders worked hands-on with the Junior Firefighters and Explorers aged 12-19.
