Lewisboro Library Fair Begins Collection Days LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- Collection days for the 55th annual Lewisboro Library Fair begin Saturday. The fair will be held Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Onatru Farm Town Park. Donations of books, toys and items can be dropped off every Saturday in August and on Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at Onatru Farm. Books must be in good condition and free of mold. Small paperbacks, textbooks, magazines and encyclopedias will not be accepted.  For the fair's Attic Treasures Tag Sale, gently used toys, furniture, artwork, kitchen and sports equipment in working condition will be accepted. Darien Photographer Ben Larrabee Shows Family Portraits On Nantucket DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien Photographer Ben Larrabee is showcasing his family portraits at the Sconset Café on Nantucket Island until Sept. 13.  “Everyone loves Ben’s photos," said Sconset Café co-owner Cindy Nelson. "They are the perfect compliment to the intimate atmosphere. They say so much about Nantucket and our family values.” A nationally recognized photographer, Larrabee's work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Larrabee will be on Nantucket photographing families until Aug. 9.

Westport Library Spotlighting Special Events For Children WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Library plans to hold several children's events in August.  On Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., the McManus Room will host Heroes of the Animal Kingdom. The program shows how animals can keep humans healthy, adopt orphaned baby animals and plant trees. Some of the animals that participants may encounter include a monkey-tailed skink, red-foot tortoise, African bullfrog, bull snake, chinchilla, Chilean rose hair tarantula, eclectus parrot and speckled owl. Martin R. Autuori Jr., 94, Of Bridgeport BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Martin R. Autuori Jr., age 94, of Bridgeport, died Sunday, July 26, at Lord Chamberlain Rehabilitation Center. Autuori was born on November 26, 1920, in Bridgeport to Martin and Rose (Ascolese) Autuori. A machinist for more than 40 years at Handy and Harmon, Autuori served as treasurer of Local 7201 United Steel Workers of America.
