Tuckahoe Celebrates Summertime With Fireworks Event EASTCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Village of Tuckahoe Summertime Fireworks Event will be held on July 11 at Parkway Oval Field at 7 p.m.  The event features performances by The Ultimate Boyband Tribute and oldies duet Twin Gold. Tuckahoe's Joshua Crumpton will also perform patriotic songs. Local vendors will sell traditional street festival food. The fireworks display from Grucci Fireworks begins at 9:30 p.m. Parkway Oval Field is at Lake Avenue and Bronx Street in Tuckahoe. The event's rain date is July 12.

Registration Open For Greenwich-Stamford Swim Across America GREENWICH, Conn. -- Swimmers and volunteers can now register for the 9th Annual Swim Across America Greenwich-Stamford event in Long Island Sound on June 27.  In addition to swimmers, boaters, paddle boarders, kayakers and land volunteers can also sign up to participate. Proceeds from the event go directly to the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy. The Stamford-based organization is the only foundation in the U.S. exclusively dedicated to cancer gene therapy research.
