WANAQUE, N.J. — Wanaque resident Salvatore Palmieri died Saturday, April, 30. He was 80. Palmieri was a plant manager at Coats & Clark Inc., in Fair Lawn before retiring. He also was employed at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Wyckoff and at Seiko Watch Company in Mount Olive. While residing in Ringwood, he was active in the Little League, where he was coach and the program manager. DePaolo, a West Palm Beach, Fla., resident was born in Poughkeepsie to Geralda and Victor Cardarella and worked at IBM for 25 years. She is survived by her husband, Ronald DePaolo, daughters, Lisa Scott and Alexandra DePaolo and grandson Robert Scott. MILBROOK, N.Y. — Longtime Milbrook resident Shirley Bowman Benham died on Friday, April 22. She was 87. The seventh of seven children, Benham grew up in Millbrook and graduated from Millbrook High School. She was a homemaker and served as a member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod and Gun Club, the Millbrook Historical Society and a member of the Lyall Memorial Federated Church where she was very active in the Millbrook Meals on Wheels program for several years. STRATFORD, Conn. — Stratford resident Henry F. “Coach” Kelly died on Friday, April 29. He was 93. He was born in Great Neck, N.Y., to Peter and Jenny Kelly, Kelly, who moved to Connecticut in 2003, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and participated in the D-Day landing on Normandy in the first landing wave where he was called upon as a medic. Lane Closures On Route 55 in Poughkeepsie Expected To Cause Delays
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Delays on Route 55 should be expected and prepared for on Route 55 this week, according to reports. Lane closures for the purposes of construction are scheduled to take place on Monday, May 2 through Friday, May 6 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Route 55 westbound, between Burnett Boulevard and Taft Avenue in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
