Constance D. Corroon, 90, Rye Resident
RYE, N.Y. — Rye resident Constance Corroon died on Sunday, April 24. She was 90.
Coroon is survived by her husband Lawrence and their two children, Claire and Daniel.
She attended the Convent of Scared Heart 91st Street and graduated from Manhattanville College of the Scared Heart.
She was predeceased by her daughter Anne Grubbs and siblings Joseph Duffy, Miriam Scavullo, the Rev. Stephen Duffy, S.J., Sr. Helen Marie SSND, the Rev. Edwin Duffy, Florence Doherty and Jane Burt.

Rose Mitarotondo, 88, West Nyack Resident
WEST NYACK, N.Y. — West Nyack resident Rose (Prestano) Mitarotondo died Tuesday, April 26. She was 88.
Born in Manhattan, Mitarotondo met her husband, Peter, in the Bronx, and, in 1961, the two moved to Rockland County, where they raised their three children. Her favorite times included bus trips with her friends to Atlantic City.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years.

Alice H. Helms, 87, Teaneck Resident
TEANECK, N.J. — Teaneck resident Alice H. Helms died Thursday, April 28. She was 87.
Helms was a member of The Pocono Mountain Quilters’ Guild and won numerous awards for her craft.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet Helms-Byrne and her husband Raymond; her grandchildren, Kimberly Helms, Peter Helms and Brandon P. Byrne; and her great-grandson, Tyler Smith.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pete Helms; and her son, Donald P. Helms, and his wife Emily.

John Nilsen, 84, Park Ridge Resident
PARK RIDGE, N.J. — Park Ridge resident John Nilsen died on Thursday, April 14. He was 84.
A Brooklyn, N.Y. native, Nilsen was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a 57-year member of the New York City Carpenter Union Local 296.
He is survived by his children, Chris, John, Joan, Vivian, Jimmy and Billy; and grandchildren TJ, Nicole, Vinny, Toni, Michael, Joey, Johnny and Katie; and two grandchildren.
Memorial visitation and service will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Inc., 155 Kinderkamack Road in Park Ridge.
