Coastal Flood Warning Is In Effect For Westchester WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. — The National Weather Service announced that a coastal flood watch was in effect for Saturday in southern Westchester County. Rip currents are expected along the western part of the Long Island Sound on Saturday night, and as a result, minor coastal flooding is possible.

Bicyclist Struck, Killed Overnight Near I-87 Overpass YONKERS, N.Y. — A bicyclist was killed after being struck by a four-door sedan in Yonkers, police reported. Police say the 59-year-old male victim, whose name has not been released, was riding eastbound on Tuckahoe Road when the incident occurred around midnight Saturday near the northbound ramp on I-87 under the overpass. No other vehicles were involved, according to police. The operator of the sedan remained at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigators. Port Chester Pair Arrested On Felony Drug Charges PORT CHESTER, N.Y. — Two men are facing felony drug charges after a joint sting operation between Port Chester and Westchester County police Thursday night. Jonathan Castillo, 30, and Gonzalez Valdovinos, 24, were arrested and charged after police surveillance on Olivia Street, police said. A search found both men in possession of cocaine, and they were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, police said. Castillo and Valdovinos are being held at Port Chester police headquarters pending arraignment.

Kudlacik was an auto mechanic at Bill & John's Amoco Service Station in Wallington before his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Anne, two brothers and nine sisters. Kudlacik is survived by son Emil, son Michael and his wife Laura, daughter Kathleen Kramer, daughter Patricia Padilla and her husband Mark, daughter Ann-Marie Klapper and her husband Stuart, and daughter Emily DeSimone and her husband Paul, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mass At Madison Square Garden Serves As Finale To Pope Francis NYC Visit NEW YORK, N.Y. — Pope Francis concluded his visit to New York with busy day capped by a mass at Madison Square Garden Friday night that was attended by an estimated 18,000 people. People lined up for hours along Seventh Avenue to get a glimpse of Francis. The Pope also visited a handful of other New York landmarks, including the United Nations and visiting September 11 victims' families at Ground Zero. Before the service, he led a motorcade that drew tens of thousands of onlookers through Central Park.

Nicolas  had worked for Best Foods in Englewood Cliffs, NJ for several years.  He was a private first class in the Army during peacetime in the 1950s. He is survived by his children, Deborah, Brian and Gene, and sister Marian Bertone.  A graveside service took place at the Hackensack Cemetery in Hackensack, on Friday, Sept. 11.

He was born to Lucca and JuliaTarabokia Tarabokia graduated from Lyndhurst High School and served in the Army during World War II. After his service, he earned multiple advanced degrees, including his doctorate of education from St. John’s University. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., living in Elmwood Park and Mahwah before settling in Woodcliff Lake. Alvarez worked as an executive secretary for the state in Paterson. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and son Richard, and is survived by her daughter Susan Shannon and five grandchildren. Funeral services were private.

She was predeceased by her husband Warren Leroy Sheldon, and is survived by her children, Nancy O'Toole and her husband Patrick, Valerie Ferrero and her husband Jack, and Philip Sheldon and his wife Tina, and granddaughters Diana and Chelsea Lynch and Katie and Samantha Ferrero.  Cremation services were private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army.
