Sister Catherine Jemapete, 89, Of Wilton
WILTON, Conn. — Sister Catherine Jemapete, of Wilton, died on Sept. 26 at Lourdes Health Care Center. She was 89.
Jemapete was born on April 28, 1926, in Bridgeport to Spyridion Jemapete and Theresa Gabor.
She joined the School Sister of Notre Dame in 1950, and taught at Catholic schools in Rochester, N.Y., Charleston, S.C., Norwalk and Darien until 1970.
From there, Jemapete ran Religious Education programs in Ridgefield, Wilton, Waterbury, and Fairfield until retiring in 2001.

Timothy Ford Sr., 83, Of Teaneck
TEANECK, N.J. — Timothy Ford Sr., of Teaneck and formerly of the Bronx, N.Y., died Wednesday, Sept. 23. He was 83.
He worked as a foreman for The New York Times before retirement.
Ford was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette (nee Hickey); and siblings Frances, William, and Martin.
He is survived by his sons, Timothy Jr. and Michael and his girlfriend, Rebecca; as well as siblings Margaret, Mary, and James.
The Volk Leber Funeral Home handled arrangements, and interment was at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
Beatrice P. Piano, 90, Of Teaneck
TEANECK, N.J. — Beatrice P. Piano, of Teaneck, died Tuesday, Sept. 22. She was 90.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor, and a sister, Ursula Barchi.
Piano is survived by her son, Victor; grandchildren Victor, Robert and his fiancé Nicole Knezevic; and a sister, Rose Hoffmann.
Arrangements were handled by the Volk Leber Funeral Home, and interment was at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
Victoria Wells, 58, Of Teaneck
TEANECK, N.J. — Victoria Wells (nee Wood), of Teaneck, died Thursday, Sept. 24, of complications related to a three-year battle with cancer. She was 58.
She studied architecture at the University of Michigan, practicing in New York and New Jersey. She also worked as a flight attendant for Frontier Airlines and as the director of the after-school programs at Dwight-Morrow School in Englewood.
Wells was predeceased by her husband, Donal.

Pota Torchio, 99, Of Park Ridge
PARK RIDGE, N.J. — Pota Torchio, of Park Ridge, died Thursday, Sept. 24. She was 99.
Torchia was born March 10, 1916, in New York City to Gerasimos and Marigoula Kai Boyiantzis.
She graduated from Wadleigh High School in Harlem, N.Y. and later moved to Park Ridge in 1951.
Torchia earned her nursing degree at 55 from Bergen Community College, working as a private nurse for Valley Hospital in Ridgewood until her retirement.
She was an active member of the community, serving as Park Ridge PTA treasurer for six years and teaching Sunday school at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Bernard J. Nicolosi, 89, Of Park Ridge
PARK RIDGE, N.J. — Bernard J. Nicolosi, of Park Ridge and Flanders, died Sunday, Sept. 20, at his home. He was 89.
Nicolosi was born in Lodi, served in the Navy during World War II, and became a fixture in Bergen County politics and volunteer organizations throughout his life.
He graduated summa cum laude from St. Thomas Aquinas College and served on the President's Council. He was also a council member in Park Ridge, president and district governor of Westwood and a member of the board of directors for Pascack Valley Mental Health Board.
