Natalie Barrett, 82, Of Westport
WESTPORT, Conn. – Natalie Barrett, of Westport, died on Sunday, Aug. 30, at her home. She was 82.
Barrett was born on Feb. 28, 1933, in New York to May Damiano and Max Kowalsky, growing up in the Bronx and graduating from William Taft High School.
She worked as a secretary in New York in the advertising business, and for Trendex, Norwalk Hospital, the Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center, and as a lunch lady and recess supervisor at Hillspoint Elementary School.
Barrett was predeceased by her brother Leonard and daughter-in-law Anna.

PELHAM, N.Y. – Alfred J. "Cappy" Carpanzano, a longtime resident of Pelham, died on Tuesday, Sept. 1. He was 70.
Carpanzano was born in New Rochelle to Peter and Angelina (Cairo) Carpanzano.
He graduated from New Rochelle High School.
He worked as a tool and die maker and for Zip Pak in Rockland County before retiring in 2010.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Nancy Petrizzi, of Fairfield, died on Sunday, Aug. 30, of cancer. She was 56.
Petrizzi grew up in Port Chester, N.Y., graduating from Port Chester High School.
She worked at Gannett Suburban Newspapers in Harrison, N.Y., and for Fairfield Schools Food Services at Stratfield School.
Petrizzi is survived by her husband, Ricky; daughter Amanda, sister Patty Langworth of Port Chester, N.Y., and her father Charles Amoroso.

WESTON, Conn. – Carmelina Falbo, of Weston, died on Aug. 30. She was 78.
Falbo was born in Sersale, C.Z., Italy, on Feb. 20, 1937, to Nicola and Caterina (Torchia) Rotella.
Falbo is survived by her husband, Anthony, three children, Michael and his wife Janice, Lina Herrmann and her husband Gary, and Anthony Jr. and his wife Judi; seven grandchildren; sister Josephine Mercurio; brother Angelo Rotella and his wife Marylee, and many nieces and nephews.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Dolores "Dee" Basso Cortello, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, died on Sunday, Aug. 30, at St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Cortello was born in Bridgeport on Feb. 9, 1942, to Michael and Ann (Mayernick) Basso and graduated from Central High School.
She was an active member of the local community, working for the Bridgeport Federation of Democratic Women, as union secretary for AFSCME Local 1522, and for the Bridgeport Board of Education until retiring in 2011.

PEEKSKILL, N.Y. – Francis B. Fassnacht, a resident of Peekskill, died on Sunday, Aug. 30. He was 85.
Fassnacht was born in Peekskill on Feb. 9, 1930 to Bernard and Marie Fassnacht.
He graduated from Assumption School, Peekskill High School and Union College.
Fassnacht worked as an electrical engineer for the Surface Warfare Center in Silver Spring, Md., and as an adjunct professor at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, Calif.

YONKERS, N.Y. – John J. "Jack" Fennell, a lifelong Yonkers resident, died on Wednesday, Aug. 26, of cancer. He was 64.
Fennell was born in Yonkers on March 5, 1951, to John and Margaret (Trehey) Fennell.
He graduated from St. Joseph's High School.
He worked at Con Ed, as a manager for Continental Airlines at the Wilkes- Barre/Scranton Airport and as a beverage manager at Mount Airy Casino in the Poconos.
