Peter S. DeVries, 89, Of Wallington
WALLINGTON, N.J. – Peter S. DeVries, of Wallington, died Wednesday, Jan. 6. He was 89.
DeVries was born Feb. 4, 1926, in Wallington, serving in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War.
After his service, he worked for the Bergen County Road Department, the Hamersley Paper Company and Grand Union Supermarkets in Carlstadt before retiring.
DeVries was predeceased by his wife Helen, son Michael and seven siblings.
He is survived by daughter Helen Card and her husband Kenneth of East Stroudsburg, Pa.

Richard E. Schiavo, 85, Of Midland Park
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. – Richard E. Schiavo, of Midland Park, died Jan. 6. He was 85.
Schiavo served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and worked for Transamerica Insurance in White Plains after his service.
He was predeceased by brother John.
He is survived by his wife Carmela (nee D’Amato); four children, Richard and wife Michele of Midland Park, Rosemary and husband Robert Chersi of Ridgewood, Joseph of Garnerville, N.Y. and Carolyn and husband Michael Pastier of Dix Hills, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Mary Geraghty; and brother Stephen.

Margaret R. Breznovits, 87, Of Saddle Brook
SADDLE BROOK, N.J. – Margaret R. Breznovits (nee Darvalics), of Saddle Brook, died Thursday, Jan. 7. She was 87.
Breznovits was born in Franklin and lived in Saddle Brook for 57 years, working for Thermo Electric in Saddle Brook until retiring in 1980.
She was predeceased by her husband Geza and son Robert.
Breznovits is survived by son Keith and his wife Maureen; daughter-in-law Sue; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosalind Kalinsky, 92, Of Monsey
MONSEY, N.Y. – Rosalind Kalinsky, of Monsey, died Thursday, Jan. 7 in Suffern. She was 92.
Kalinsky was born July 25, 1923 in the Bronx.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Ave., Paramus, N.J.
Interment will follow.
Richard Del Vecchio, 72, Of Rockleigh
ROCKLEIGH, N.J. – Richard Del Vecchio, of Rockleigh, died Jan. 7. He was 72.
Del Vecchio worked for Frapaul Construction Company in Rochelle Park before retiring.
He is survived by four children, Thomas, Richard Jr., Ryan and Christopher; two stepsons, Cliff and Will Heinzmann; three grandchildren; and brother, Alfred and his wife Anne.
Visiting hours are from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service in Hackensack, with a prayer service at 8:30 p.m.
Interment will be private.
Michelle Wall, 53, Of Paramus
PARAMUS, N.J. – Michelle Wall (nee Leyva), of Paramus, died Wednesday, Jan. 6 at Villa Marie Claire Hospice. She was 53.
Wall graduated from Seton Hall University and Fordham Law School, going on to work as a senior attorney for CNA Insurance Company and as a partner at the law firm of Melli, Guerin, Wall & Frankland.
She is survived by her husband Peter; two children Morgan and Sydney; parents Angelina (nee Bracco) and Leonel Leyva; three siblings Steven Leyva, Maria Elena Leyva and Leo Leyva; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
