Angelo James Verven, 85, Of Poughkeepsie
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Angelo James Verven, a lifelong area resident, died on Thursday, Dec. 10 at home. He was 85.
Verven was born on Nov. 27, 1930 in Poughkeepsie to James and Pitsa Trampas Verven, graduating from Poughkeepsie High School and serving in the Army during the Korean War.
After his service, he graduated from Buffalo State Teacher's College and taught in the Spackenkill Union Free School District for 34 years, retiring in 1992.
Verven was predeceased by his parents, brother Stephen and sister Electra.

LYNDHURST, N.J. – Manuel Fontan, Jr., of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, Dec. 10. He was 64.
Fontan was born in Spain to Manuel and Dolores Fontan. He came to the United States in 1965, working as a longshoreman as a member of ILA Local 1235 for over 35 years.

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. – Anna E. Pierro (nee Staiano), of North Bergen, died on Thursday, Dec. 10. She was 89.
Pierro was predeceased by her husband Anthony.
She is survived by her son, Vincent and his wife, Sylvia; daughter Rose and her husband, Timothy Sandford; son, Robert and his wife, Mary; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

FAIRFIELD, N.J. – Barry Frank Holleuffer, of Fairfield, died on Friday, Dec. 11. He was 72.
Holleuffer worked at Taurus International Inc. for many years and retired from World Wide Distribution.

Ann Marie Kraemer, 76, Formerly Of Teaneck
TEANECK, N.J. – Ann Marie Kraemer (nee Krucan), of Harvey Cedars and formerly of Teaneck, died Wednesday, Dec. 9. She was 76.
Kraemer was born July 16, 1939, in Jersey City to Anna and Charles Krucan. She graduated from St. Michael’s High School in Union City.
She worked as the borough of Teaneck court administrator before working in Emerson and eventually retiring.

RIDGEFIELD, N.J. – Anna Maria Bucci (nee Terzolo), of Ridgefield, died Thursday, Dec. 10. She was 85.
Bucci was born in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City on July 8, 1930, to Riccardo and Carmella Terzolo.
She was predeceased by her parents and husband, Anthony. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Ronnie; daughter, Gina; daughter-in-law, Linda; and various nieces and nephews.

ORADELL, N.J. – Edward Joseph Bodner, of Oradell, died on Thursday, Dec. 10.
Bodner was born in Duryea, Pa., graduating from the Rutgers University School of Engineering and serving in the Army during World War II.
After his service, he worked as a division manager at PSE&G.

NORTH HALEDON, N.J. – Lida B. Sylvester, of North Haledon, died Saturday, Dec. 12. She was 89.
Sylvester was born in Paterson.
