George James Powell, 86, Of Teaneck
TEANECK, N.J. – George James Powell, of Teaneck, died Friday, Nov. 13. He was 86.
Powell was born March 15, 1929, to Charles and Mary Powell in New York City, moving to Teaneck from Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1970.
He was predeceased by his parents and wife Mary.
He is survived by son Gregory and his wife Diane, daughter Catherine Townsend and her husband Paul, daughter Roslyn; sister Jane Braxton; niece Sharen Roberson; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Thomas G. Scanlon Jr., 53, Of Wayne
WAYNE, N.J. – Thomas G. Scanlon, Jr., of Wayne and formerly of North Haledon, died Saturday, Nov. 14. He was 53.
He worked as a teledata technician at Integrated Micro Systems in Haledon and was a member of IBEW LU 269 in Trenton.
Scanlon was predeceased by his parents, Thomas G. and Rose Marie.
He is survived by his wife Rosalie, daughters Margo and Brooke, sister Francine, brother-in-law Kenneth Orsini, and niece Arielle and nephew Kenneth Orsini.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.

Dennis J. Reilly, 77, Of Hasbrouck Heights
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. – Dennis J. Reilly, of Hasbrouck Heights, died Saturday, Nov. 14. He was 77.
Reilly was born in the Bronx, N.Y. to Matthew and Margaret "Rita" Reilly, serving in the U.S. Army from 1956-62.
He was predeceased by his parents and nephew Christopher Brian Murphy.
He is survived by sisters Patricia Kunzmann and Kathleen Murphy of Long Beach, N.Y., nephews William Kunzmann, William Murphy, Christopher Kunzmann and niece Marianne Kunzmann.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights.
