Lisker's performance is part of the ongoing Free Young Persons concert series through Music For Youth. He has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall and Merkin Hall as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral performer. On Dec. 1 at 4 p.m. and Dec. 3 at 6 p.m., the library will have family gingerbread craft sessions for a $5 donation apiece. Marist Professors Part Of Group Building Birthing Center In Ghana POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Two Marist professors are part of an effort to build a birthing center in Sampa, Ghana, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal. Anne Matheus and Christina Vertullo joined 12 others from Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park in a 2014 mission to Ghana and a reverend's hometown, the story said. Since their mission, students have studied there and faculty have donated computers and textbooks, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal. The birthing center is slated to open next year. South Nyack resident Michael Balter maintains a home with his wife in Paris in between teaching fall semesters at New York University, the story said.
