'Do The 9 P.M. Routine,' Police Warn After 2 Vehicles Stolen Overnight In Easton Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles after two vehicles were stolen overnight in Fairfield County. The two vehicles were stolen overnight on May 15 or May 16 in the Lower Easton area, said the Easton Police Department. One vehicle was located due to a GPS device, police said. Officers said residents should do the "9 P.M." routine where they lock all vehicles and doors to their homes at 9 p.m. each night. In addition, if you have a GPS location device in your vehicle, make sure it is active.

13 Residents Displaced After Danbury Fire Thirteen people have been displaced following a fire at a two-and-half-story residential building in Danbury. Firefighters responded to the fire just after 10:30 p.m., Monday, May 15 after receiving multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire on Main Street, said Capt. Kevin Lunnie, of the Danbury Fire Department. The first arriving units found heavy fire conditions in the rear of the building. Man Nabbed For Heroin, Crack Sales In Darien, Police Say A man was charged with the alleged sale of crack and heroin following an investigation into drug sales in Fairfield County. Bridgeport residence Marc Busanet, age 23, was arrested in Darien on Friday, May 12 following the investigation, said Sgt. Dan Skoumbros, of the Darien Police. During the month of April, Darien Police became aware of illicit drug sales in the Noroton Heights section of town, and an investigation was initiated. 38-Year-Old Nabbed For DWI Twice In 3 Hours In Hudson Valley: Police A man was arrested twice in three hours for alleged drunk driving by state police in the Hudson Valley. The first stop took place in Orange County around 4:15 a.m., Sunday, May 14 when troopers from the Montgomery barracks observed Tito Vinza-Vinza, age 38, of the city of Newburgh, drifting into the opposite lane. Mother Charged After Daughter Found Unresponsive In Hotel Pool On Long Island The mother of a 7-year-old girl found unresponsive in a hotel pool on Long Island last year has been charged with manslaughter. Crash Between Boats On Candlewood Lake Injures Person One person was sent to the hospital after two boats collided on Candlewood Lake, which is located in parts of Fairfield and Litchfield counties. Hudson Valley 13-Year-Old Struck By SUV While Riding Scooter Remains Critical Teachers, friends, and community members are coming together to help a 13-year-old Hudson Valley boy who was hit by an SUV while riding an electric scooter. Welfare Fraud: 5 From Region Nabbed By Task Force With Theft Of Funds Five residents from the region have been charged with defrauding welfare for a range of alleged crimes following an investigation. The arrests took place in Sullivan County over the past 30 days by the Sullivan County Welfare Fraud Task Force.
