CT Man Sitting In Kitchen Critical After Being Shot Through Window, Police Say A Connecticut man was shot while sitting in his kitchen when some 36 shots were fired outside. The incident took place in New Haven County around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, May 14 in the area of Level Street near Brookside Avenue in New Haven. New Haven Police officers were dispatched to the area after a ShotSpotter indicated some 36 gunshots in the near, said Capt. Rose Dell, of the New Haven Police. Body Found In Car Following Fire At Target Parking Lot In CT Firefighters found a dead body after putting out a car fire in a Connecticut Target parking lot. The incident took place in New London County around 12:50 a.m., Monday, May 15 at the Target at 195 River Road in Lisbon. New Principal Named To Greenwich Eastern Middle School Students at a school in Fairfield County will find a new principal roaming the halls this fall. Greenwich Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones announced on Tuesday, May 9 the appointment of Marc Guarino as principal of Eastern Middle School, effective Saturday, July 1. Drug Bust: Hudson Valley Man Nabbed With Cocaine, Guns, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was busted with alleged cocaine and guns following an investigation of drug sales in the region. Orange County resident Josias Rivera, age 30, of Monroe, was arrested on Thursday, May 11, at a home in Monroe. As alleged in charging documents filed in court, on police officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Monroe. Student Sexually Assaulted At Gunpoint At Her Yale University Residence, Police Say A Yale University student was sexually assaulted after waking up to find an unknown man pointing a gun at her. The incident took place around 2 a.m., Tuesday, May 9, on the 300 block of Elm Street in New Haven. Hudson Valley County Files 2 Lawsuits To Stop NYC From Sending More Asylum Seekers A Hudson Valley county has filed two lawsuits to stop New York City from sending its homeless migrants and asylum seekers to the county. The lawsuits, asking for restraining orders, were filed on Friday, May 12, in Orange County on behalf of the county, said Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus.
