Proposed Greenwich Budget Reflects $16.8 Million Increase GREENWICH, Conn. -- First Selectman Peter Tesei's proposed budget for 2016-17 will be revealed at a special Board of Estimate and Taxation Budget Committee meeting Wednesday, according to Greenwich Time. The proposed $427.9 million budget reflects a $16.8 million increase from the previous year's budget and calls for a mill rate increase of 2.73 percent, said Greenwich Time. Goldberg.  “Naomi was passionate about her city and devoted to her role on the Planning Board," said Mayor Rob Rolison. "She believed in Poughkeepsie and faithfully served it, knowing that she could make a difference. I would like to express my sincerest sympathy to her family at this difficult time." School Calendar For New Canaan Schools Updated For 2016-17 Year NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- The New Canaan public schools' calendar for the 2016-17 academic year will reflect new guidelines set by state lawmakers in a 2013 decision, according to New Canaan Advertiser. State lawmakers decided each of the six regional educational service centers will have the same start date, spring vacation and teacher training days.
