Taste Of Ridgefield Serves Up Scholarships, Fuel Assistance RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- The 17th annual Taste of Ridgefield returns to Lounsbury House on Sunday. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit dozens of local organizations, such as Ridgefield Rotary's annual scholarship, and provide fuel subsidies for local families in need. Iona Prep Hockey Teams Excel at ‘Defending The Blue Line’ For Charity NEW ROCHELLE. N.Y. -- Iona Preparatory School's hockey program recently raised $16,000 in support of Defending the Blue Line. Defending the Blue Line provides free equipment, hockey camps, special events and financial assistance to the children of servicemen and women. Connecticut Lawmakers Call For Ban On Openly Carried Firearms In Stores FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- U.S. Sens. Chris Murphy and Richard Blumenthal, both D-Conn., and U.S. Rep.
