Harding High Bus Runs Over Downed Powerline BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — A school bus heading to Warren Harding High School ran over a downed powerline in Bridgeport on Tuesday, according to ctpost.com. Neither the driver nor the aide was hurt, and there were no children on the bus, ctpost.com said.  The incident occurred at a downed line near the intersection of Mead Street and Central Avenue around 2:30 p.m. United Illuminating personnel were dispatched to shut off the power while the bus occupants were ordered to stay inside, reported ctpost.com. Bridgeport Man Charged With Heroin, Crack Possession In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — A man from Bridgeport was charged with interfering with the police and two counts of possession and sale of narcotics, according to the Stamford Advocate. Tyquan Welfare, 21, was apprehended by patrol officers near the corner of Seaside Avenue and Cove Road after 8:30 p.m. Sunday. He was allegedly found with 33 folds of heroin weighing more than 10 grams, 2.8 grams of crack cocaine and $1,056 in cash, reported the Stamford Advocate.
