Injunction Sought To Stop Renovation Of Mount Vernon's Memorial Field MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Mayor-elect Richard Thomas is seeking a court order to stop any further work at Memorial Field until he takes office in January. According to lohud.com, the city of Mount Vernon and Westchester County agreed to replace the existing stadium with a $12.7 renovation project before Mayor Ernie Davis changed plans to renovate it instead.
