Bedtime Stories May Be For More Than Falling Asleep MOUNT VERNON, N.Y. -- Bedtime stories are a part of the process of children going to sleep, but they can be used for more than that.  According to a post by Dr. Cecelia Davidson on the Mount Vernon City School District's "Speaking Out" blog, bedtime stories can be a way of preparing for the arrival of a new day. Davidson is a district Speech Language Pathologist. College Of New Rochelle's Mulch Mowing Demonstration Rescheduled NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Due to predicted inclement weather, a mulch mowing demonstration at the College of New Rochelle has been rescheduled.  The final demonstration of the season, the mulch mowing event was planned for Oct. 28 but will now take place at 4 p.m. Nov. 12.  A professional landscaper will give a live demonstration, answer questions and discuss the sustainable gardening method.  The City of New Rochelle adopted the "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em" campaign in 2013 to promote the advantages of mulch mowing.  Mulch mowing recycles nutrients into the soil, is faster than raking …
