Harrison Celebrates With Fireworks, Football, Fun This story has been updated. HARRISON, N.Y. -- The annual "It's Great to Live in Harrison" and Columbus Day celebration will feature a weekend of fireworks, football classic against Rye and parade. The West Harrison Fire Department will host a fireworks display Saturday at 7 p.m. Rain date is Sunday. 'Strut Your Pup' In Cold Spring And Raise Money For Heeling Autism COLD SPRING, N.Y. -- The Cold Spring Lions will host their fourth annual "Strut Your Pup" fundraiser for Heeling Autism on Oct. 17. The event features food, a raffle and a parade of dogs down Main St. in Cold Spring to raise awareness and support of autism service dogs trained by Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Kent Library Starts Mystery Book Club For Kids CARMEL, N.Y. -- Kent Public Library will host a Mystery Book Club for grades five and six starting Oct. 20. The club will meet the third Tuesday of each month from 5 to 5:45 p.m. Chris Grabenstein's "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library" is the club's first book. The story follows sixth graders and their attempts to escape from a game developer's futuristic library. Copies of "Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library" are available to borrow.
