Southern Westchester Music Festival Books 15 Major Bands MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The lineup for the third annual Southern Westchester (SOWE) Music Festival Sept. 19 at Harbor Island Park features 15 national bands. Ossining Matters' Annual 5K Run Raises Money For Schools OSSINING, N.Y. -- The 13th annual Ossining Matters Education Foundation 5K Run/2 Mile Walk takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m. Runners will start at the Main Street post office, and walkers will begin at the Double Arches. Both will follow the path along the Old Croton Aqueduct trail toward the Crawbuckie Beach Nature Center. Walkers will venture into the complex before heading back, while runners will continue farther north before returning to the Double Arches finish line. Pleasantville Resident Participates In Bob's Discount Furniture Golf Outing PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Wayde Bendes, of Pleasantville, participated in the 28th annual Bob's Discount Furniture golf outing July 21, which raised more than $452,000 for children's charities. More than 250 golfers participated in the charity event at the Tunxis Plantation Country Club.
