Ossining Matters' Annual 5K Run Raises Money For Schools OSSINING, N.Y. -- The 13th annual Ossining Matters Education Foundation 5K Run/2 Mile Walk takes place Saturday, Sept. 12, at 9 a.m.  Runners will start at the Main Street post office, and walkers will begin at the Double Arches. Both will follow the path along the Old Croton Aqueduct trail toward the Crawbuckie Beach Nature Center. Walkers will venture into the complex before heading back, while runners will continue farther north before returning to the Double Arches finish line. More than 250 golfers participated in the charity event at the Tunxis Plantation Country Club.
