Louise Castelli, 90, Former Little Ferry Resident
LITTLE FERRY, N.J. — Louise Castelli (Palumbo), a longtime former resident of Little Ferry, died Sunday, April 17. She was 86.
Before retiring, Castelli worked for Mellon Bank in Ridgefield Park as a bookkeeper. She was a parishioner of St. Rocco RC Church in Union City.
She is survived by her children, Raymond L. Castelli and his wife Lisa, Donna Rinaldi and her husband Chad and Louise Tulp and her husband Bob; grandchildren Jesse and Danny. Jane Kolano Yowik, 92, Garfield Resident
GARFIELD, N.J. — Former Garfield resident Jane Kolano Yowik, died Friday, April 15. She was 92.
Born in Passaic, Yowik moved to Garfield as a teenager and lived there full time until 2002, when she began spending winters in Hudson, Fla., before moving there permanently.
Yowik graduated from Garfield High School, and received her Registered Nursing degree from St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Elizabeth, N.J. She completed her nurses' training in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
