Paterson Man Drives On Sidewalk, Crashes Into House While Fleeing Police
PATERSON, N.J. – A Paterson man buying heroin eventually was captured Wednesday after eluding police by driving on the sidewalk and hitting a home, according to NJ.com.
Elvis Romero, 42, of Wayne was in the process of buying the drugs when detectives identified themselves, and he tried to flee, the story said.
Romero faces heroin possession, eluding and various traffic charges, reported NJ.com.
The man who allegedly sold Romero the drugs, 57-year old Ronald Delmo, was charged with possession and distribution of heroin and arrested at his city home, the story said.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Marion Delores Storms, of Bridgeport, died Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Conecticut Hospice in Branford. She was 75.
Storms was born Aug. 19, 1940, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Oliver and Luella Givens, working at medical company Medtronic (formerly US Surgical, Tyco and Covidien) in New Haven as a receptionist.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. – Renee A. Tacoma, a longtime Elmsford resident, died Oct. 15. She was 91.
Tacoma was born July 4, 1924, in Yonkers, to Salvatore and Rose Ciancuilli Frankolino, growing up in Tarrytown and North Tarrytown and graduating from North Tarrytown High School.
She worked for New York Telephone for more than 25 years, retiring as a supervisor.
Tacoma was predeceased by her parents, husband Vincent, brother Gerald Frankolino and sister Lucille Carpenter.

John Taylor, 74, Of Bridgeport
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – John Henry Taylor, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, died at his home Wednesday, Oct. 14. He was 74.
Born to Thomas W. and Eileen Williams Taylor, he graduated from Bullard Havens Technical School and was a mason by trade and a plumber for many years.
He also was a Bridgeport firefighter, serving 20 years before retiring from the department.

NORWALK, Conn. – Tina Lindegren Horne, of Norwalk, died Oct. 12. She was 63.
Horne was born May 7, 1952, in Wilmington, Del. to C. Robert “Bob” and Ruth E. Lindegren, moving to Greenwich in 1967.
She graduated from Greenwich High School in 1970 and Colby College in 1974, completing her doctoral degree in psychology at the University of New Hampshire.
Horne worked in marketing, starting at Wang Laboratories and most recently at IBM.

Colly Holmes, 71, Of Norwalk
NORWALK, Conn. – Colly Holmes, of Norwalk, died Friday, Oct. 9 at Norwalk Hospital. She was 71.
Holmes was born Feb. 25, 1944, in Norwalk, to Joseph Jr. and Carolyn (nee Miller) Holmes, growing up in New Canaan. She attended Mitchell College of New London, and worked in the Human Resources Department for GTE, now Verizon.
She is survived by two brothers, Joe Holmes and his wife Poppy of Norwalk, Nathaniel Holmes III and his wife Denise of Penfield, N.Y.; sister Suki Welch of Sun City West, Ariz., and eight nieces and nephews.
